About Me

Hi!

My name is Jen. I have been creating mosaics for over 10 years and every time I create a new one it still thrills me as much as the first. There is something about using a pile of otherwise non-related items to create a fantastic masterpiece! Whether I use broken plates, tiles or even buttons, creating a mosaic always manages to give me a great sense of pleasure and fulfilment.

I have attended a number of institutions for mosaic, painting and drawing and ceramics training, including the Fremantle Arts Centre (Western Australia) and the Putney School of Art and Design (London). I am always eager to learn about new and alternative art schools as they are not only a great way to learn but a fantastic place to meet people with keen interests similar to mine.

I urge everyone to find some form of creative outlet and I personally believe art is one of the best forms. Even if you don't think you have any talent or couldn't draw a circle if you tried, there is always something for everyone.

Mosaic art is often fantastic for beginners both adults and children as if you have a pattern and a simple plaque or table top, all you have to do is follow your pattern. Once you have gained confidence you will feel more at ease with creating your own design or applying mosaic art to more intricate objects.

I love to hear from people who are creating their own mosaics. If you have a photo of a mosaic that you would like to display on this site or if you have written an article about mosaics that you would like to share then please don't hesitate to email me!

I hope you enjoy reading my site and find that it gives you the information and inspiration to create your own mosaic masterpieces!
