Marble tile is one of the oldest and most traditional tesserae materials used in mosaic art. There are a number of famous mosaic pieces throughout the world that have been designed using marble tile.

The natural color variations of marble and its durability and strength make it an ideal material. It is very heavy and can be quite chunky, therefore it is an excellent medium for floor based mosaics.

The natural color variations of marble allow the mosaic to reflect the natural tones whilst still attaining the aesthetic pleasures that beautiful mosaic art can create.
