Many beaches and rivers that have beautiful polished river rocks and pebbles on their waterbeds are protected. People who remove natural products like rocks and shells from some of these areas can receive large fines from the local government protection services.

I advise you to buy these rocks from a distributor; not only will it be a lot easier but you know they have been taken from an area that is not dependant on their support to prevent erosion of a river bed!
